My husband and I stopped by The Garrison for a casual drink, and we just loved the vibe in here. The interior strikes a beautiful balance between sophistication and charm--an emerald-tiled bar and charcoal countertops give it a sleek, upscale feel, while the exposed brick walls and antique ceiling tiles add warmth and historic charm. The cocktail menu was just as impressive as the space. We tried The Pink Smoke, which came garnished with a lightly charred rosemary sprig that added a beautiful smokiness--both in flavor and presentation. We also ordered their Barrel-Aged Old Fashioned, which had a lovely depth thanks to the addition of chocolate bitters alongside the traditional orange and aromatic notes. Lastly, the Wild Berry Basil Refresher lived up to its name--it was crisp and cooling, though a touch tart for my taste. Service was outstanding. Our bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly took pride in the craft--making the experience feel even more special. He was also incredibly easy to talk to, we genuinely enjoyed his company. If there was one downside, it would be the food menu. While the space is perfect for a cocktail and conversation, I found myself wishing they offered a few more finger foods or classic bar bites to pair with drinks. The current appetizer selection just didn't appeal to me. Still, The Garrison is a gorgeous spot for a well-made drink and a relaxed, upscale evening. I'd definitely return--especially with friends or for a cozy date night.
The pork chop, Brussels, and dare I say their fries!! I’d go back in a heartbeat for that dish! The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and the entire restaurant constantly smelled intoxicating! The service was great and on point!
Excellent food, great atmosphere, amazing service. We tried it on a recommendation from a friend who knows food. It was my birthday dinner with the family. I can't speak to their drinks since I don't drink but my sister was a fan of her "Naughty Vixen" cocktail. The portions are also fairly generous!
We went there the other night for the first time. Had a reservation and we were seated on time. We had drinks first- a little pricey but very good. Appetizers, dinner all very good. We’ll be back again.
We had a nice dinner at The Garrison. We enjoyed the atmosphere and our waitress, Faith, was excellent. The food itself was solid but nothing to write home about outside the pork chop and buffalo cauliflower. Good little spot in downtown Pineville. Buffalo Cauliflower: 5/5 - just the right amount of breading Shishito Peppers: 4/5 - pretty good, nothing special Tuna nachos: 4/5 - good, nothing special Strawberry goat cheese salad: 5/5 - really good, especially if you like goat cheese Blackened salmon: 3/5 - not really good Scallops: 4/5 - good, nothing special Strawberry great and the risotto didn’t seem fresh Pork Chop: 5/5 - probably the best thing we had all night and I don’t usually eat pork Key Lime Pie: 4/5- nothing special, crust could have been a little thicker
Super cute! The yummy bites and tasty cocktails turned what was supposesd to be a quick drink with a girl friend into a fun night! We sipped on french martinis and snacked on buffalo cauliflower bite and tuna poke nachos. The atmosphere's chill vibes could have kept us chatting the night away. Overall I had a really good time, would definitely visit again!
Food/Drink: - Silly Goose: The cocktails are the highlight of the experience at this restaurant, and this drink is no exception. Highly recommend. - Buffalo Cauliflower: This is a great appetizer! Not heavy like most fried foods. Perfect to share. - Grilled Chicken & Asiago Stuffed Gnocchi: The chicken is dry, and the basil pesto cream sauce does not have much flavor. Compared to the rest of the menu, this entree falls a bit short. - Twice Baked Potato: A restaurant staple that doesn't disappoint. - Broccolini: A good portion that is prepared al dente. - Lemon Cake: Lovely balance of sweet and tart. It's a large enough slice to share. Service: - While the staff is friendly, service is slow paced. Things are laid-back, so be prepared to settle in and enjoy your company. Atmosphere: - The Garrison is charming and eclectic. Tables are sat closely together, so once the dining rooms fill up (both upstairs and downstairs), it becomes congested. Prices: - Compared to restaurants with similar menus, The Garrison is slightly expensive. While the food, service, and atmosphere reflect a casual dining experience, the prices indicate something more elevated.
Upscale dining in downtown Pineville. Very eclectic menu with something for everyone. Excellent craft cocktail menu. Beautiful decor upstairs. Feels intimate but inviting. Very enjoyable. Hoping to return as there are several menu items we want to try.
